Welcome to my website! I’m Emily, and I’m an engraving illustrator and tattooist that works out of the Artists Guild based in Pittsburgh and Brisbane! I’ve been doing professional art for over three years, but I’ve been doing art for as long as I can remember.
In terms of my art journey, it all started with horses when I was a child. I was terrible at reading (and still am!), so instead of reading more about them, I started drawing them. Maybe that’s why I work with so many horse girls!
As I grew older, I drew more inspiration from books, video games, tabletop games, films, and music to create my art. However, I focused on flora and fauna as the main subject for my art since I considered it safe and consistent work in the Northern Rivers and the Gold Coast in Australia (which is where I started my professional career).
One day, my hubby got sick of me being all gloomy about only doing flora and fauna and brought up that I should start doing fantasy art since it was (and still is!) my passion. I didn’t know what to draw, so he suggested that I should draw two knights jousting, but with flowers. I put it off for about three months since I didn’t think anyone would like it, but he kept nagging me and I eventually caved in and did it.
I posted the design, a client wanted me to do it as a tattoo for them, and the real journey started from there!
