Hello, I’m Emiscape!
Welcome to my website! I’m Emily, and I’m a fantasy themed engraving artist based in Brisbane working out of my studio, the Artists Guild! I’ve been tattooing for over three years, but I’ve been doing art for as long as I can remember.
In terms of my art journey, it all started with horses when I was a child. I was terrible at reading (and still am!), so instead of reading more about them, I started drawing them. Maybe that’s why so many horse girls book with me!
As I grew older, I drew more inspiration from books, video games, card games, films, and music to create my art. However, I focused on flora and fauna for my tattoos and art since I’d consider it safe and consistent work in terms of tattooing in the Northern Rivers and the Gold Coast (which is where I started my career).
One day, my hubby got sick of me being all gloomy and brought up that I should start doing fantasy art since it was (and still is!) my passion. I didn’t know what to draw, so he suggested that I should draw two knights jousting, but with flowers. I put it off for about three months since I didn’t think it would do well, but he kept nagging me and I eventually caved in and did it.
I posted the design, someone got it tattooed, and the rest is history!
